Painted Mason Jars Craft
Lately I have been in a very crafty mood as well as addicted to Pinterest which gives me so many ideas for things. Anyways the other day I bought Mason Jars in hope of making a cool craft and decoration for my room. Here are the instructions to decorate these Mason Jars.

First you need to make sure you have lay down plastic, or old news papers in case of an accident so you don’t get paint all over the place. Next make sure you have some plastic cups to put the paint in.

After you’ve gotten everything set up pick out the colours you’re going to paint your jars. I picked some spring colours in hope of having many different uses for these jars.

Make sure when you pour the colours into the plastic cups that you don’t pour more than you need. Pour the amount you think you need for your size of jars. It’s always better to not pour enough and add to it than pour too much and waster paint. Starting out only put a small amount on your brush.

Paint the first layer lightly so the paint doesn’t clot or get blotchy. Then let the first layer dry for about 5 minutes.

Paint at least two layers on the jar and repeat this until you’ve painted all your jars . Once you’ve painted your jars take the lid and pop out the center part. There are many different ways to decorate the jars after they have been painted. I decided to fill the jars with little things and put the lid back on. You can use tons of different things to fill in the space in the lid. I used left over scrapbook paper from a previous craft and traced around the lid.

I then cut it out and placed it in the lid.

You do this for all the lids. You can also use cupcake holders or tissue paper. And that is about it. You now have fun Mason Jars that you can fill and use as decorations.
